Study Room Bookings

We have 4 Group Study Rooms and 1 Personal Study Room located on the 2nd floor of the library available for research and study. We also have one Soundproof Booth available for video conferences or phone calls. Please note the booking policies for the Soundproof Booth below.

How to Book a Study Room:

  • Note: book study rooms up to one week in advance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 students required; maximum of 4 students allowed. (Maximum of 1 student allowed in the Personal Study Room.)
  • Minimum of 2 students must be in the group study room for the duration of the booking.
  • All group members must be current U of T students.
  • Only 1 booking up to a maximum of 3 hours permitted per day (in a group, and as an individual on your own or part of a group).

Those who have booked a room have priority use of the room with the following exceptions:

  • Rooms booked but unoccupied after 15 minutes will become available to others.
  • A group vacating a group study room for breaks longer than 20 minutes will forfeit the room.

Study Room Information:

  • While some discussion is permitted, these rooms are not sound-proof. They are not suitable for attending online classes, interviews, video conferences, or phone calls.
  • Study Rooms 1 and 2 are available for booking by any University of Toronto students.
  • Study Rooms 3 and 4 are available for booking by groups with at least one Trinity College or Wycliffe College student.
  • The Personal Study Room is available for booking by a Trinity College or Wycliffe College student.

Soundproof Booth Information:

  • Please for video conferences, interviews or phone calls.
  • Only 1 booking per person for a maximum of 1 hour is permitted.
  • Only one student allowed.
  • Soundproof Booth users must be current U of T students.
  • No food or drink is permitted in the booth.

Note: We prohibit filming or recording within the library, including within the study rooms, without prior permission from the Director of the library.
